How Do I Access The Training Materials?

The courses will be available on Blackboard and are pre-assigned based on your security role. The recommended browser for Blackboard is Google Chrome.

  1.   Navigate to myapps.microsoft.com.
  2.   Login with your institution credentials for Office 365. You may be prompted to authenticate via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or set up MFA if you have not     done so previously.
  3.   Locate and click the "Workday Training" Icon from the available applications list. (You may have to scroll down to see the icon)
  4.   You will automatically be logged into Blackboard.
  5.   The courses that have been assigned to you will appear in the "Courses: Quick View" area.

Please note:  Any employees hired AFTER March 27, 2020, should expect a delay in access to Workday training materials.  Those employees will be notified once materials   are available.

The Workday implementation will provide efficient processes in financial management, providing a single source of financial data for the U of A System office, decreasing discrepancies and providing enhanced reporting capabilities.

The foundation data model (FDM) is a set of codes used to classify and record financial transactions in Workday. See our local Workday glossary for more terms.

The FDM will provide the ability to attach common keywords (known in Workday as "worktags") to financial transactions. Worktags allows the university to effectively report and analyze data by labeling information shared between business areas (finance, HR, payroll, and student).
